||Coronavirus Update - Safety Issue
With just a couple of months left before the opening of AOCE-SICEM 2020, we are looking forward to welcoming you to Seoul, the beautiful capital of Korea, although there has been huge concern about the coronavirus outbreak that originated in Wuhan, China.
The Organizing Committee would like to reassure participants that we are making every effort to alleviate concerns to enable AOCE-SICEM 2020 to be unaffected.
The Situation in South Korea:
South Korea has now 28 coronavirus cases (As of Feb 11), mostly among people who have just returned from mainland China or their acquaintances. On the back of enormous effort made by the Korean government and health care professionals, the conditions of the coronavirus patients are getting improved, and those who got first infected are recovering and leaving the hospital one by one now. The Korean government has banned an entry of foreign visitors from Hubei province, China. At the moment, the government focuses on successfully containing the spread of virus in every possible way.
Actions from AOCE-SICEM 2020:
With the cooperation of Grand Walkerhill Seoul, the venue for AOCE-SICEM 2020, thermal sensors are now installed at each entrance of hotel. Additionally, we will provide hand sanitizers as well as masks during the congress. We hope AOCE-SICEM 2020 will proceed as planned, and we also want to make this year’s congress a successful, safe one.
We are very keen to take a look at the current situation with close monitoring. We will immediately let you know any change in the situation here. However, for now we are looking forward to welcoming you to AOCE-SICEM 2020. Also, kindly refer to your government website/s for local advice.
